I’m watching The Biggest Loser, and I’m munching on a crazy delicious salted chocolate chip cookie. Bad Shauna. Now don’t tell me you don’t sit and munch on things while watching that show. I promise I’ll exercise tomorrow!
Ignore my eating habits. Let’s talk about these soft flannel baby wipes. I’m trying to avoid big decisions like choosing/finding baby furniture, so I did a little sewing project. At least, I thought it was little, until I decided to make 25 of these wipes! Whew. Still, they’re easy!
Our plan (at least so far) is to use cloth diapers and cloth wipes whenever we can, so I figured I’d make my own wipes. I just cut squares of 8×8” flannel, sewed around it inside out, left a little section so I could turn them right-side-out, then ironed and topstitched around. There’s one little thing off my list.
wow, awesome, Shauna! If you need more (trust me, you never have enough) a cheap alternative is to buy the inexpensive baby wash cloths from Walmart. :) Well, for those of us that aren’t so crafty! I’ve been using the same ones for almost 16 months and they’ve held up very well.
(ps. I, too, have been known to snack on cookies etc during a watching of the Biggest Loser. That show makes me hungry! I’ll exercise in April.)
Good tips, Margaret. I might end up having to get some from Walmart. I think I made 25 or 26, so maaaaybe that’ll be enough.. but if we use a diaper service, then we won’t be doing laundry quite so much.. and I don’t feel like sewing more.
Cute colours!
Do you know what you’ll name her yet? Any ideas?
@Anya:
We think we’ve agreed on a name that we both really like :-) We want to keep that part a secret though. Exciting!
What about just an initial?
I need to know these things!
