There’s an exciting challenge over at Just Add Ink.. the theme? Vintage! Now, I’m not really into the whole vintage look. What I love to do is add vintage elements to a more modern card, so this was a bit of a new challenge for me, and I can’t say I’m completely convinced that the card I came up with is “vintage,” but I’m happy with it!
Maybe I stayed overly simple. Could it use a lot more ink staining? I like simple…
I used some Inkadinkado stamps for the background (using VersaMark ink), a Martha Stewart lace punch, some vintage book paper with my flower punch.. The button with twine adds a vintage feel (I hope), as does the edging I did using some distress ink. The sentiment’s by Hero Arts.
So beautiful, and I get the vintage vibe. A refreshing vintage vibe. Nice focal flower you’ve got there.
Shauna, this is delightful. I find vintage hard too – you did a brilliant job. The flower with the twine is very vintage……so you have acheived the look….be proud! TFS. Cheers Donna Zammit
Your flower and lacy border are scrumptious!! Love it. Thanks for playing.
I like simple too – much more elegant! And your card is definitely elegant. Beautiful. Thanks for playing!
Vintage with a modern twist – I likey! :) Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink!
