Happy Home

This is a fun card that I made as a house warming card for some friends who recently bought their first home together.  I loved the little toad stool as well as the paper, and was excited to put them together.

I used some shimmery Basil cardstock, along with this pretty scrapbook paper by Magenta.  I used a corner rounding punch on the paper and edged it with my VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  The toadstool and ladybugs are both from a Hero Arts clear set.  I got the toadstool colour by sponging part of it, and carefully using my versa colour ink cubes straight on the paper to lightly ink the edges and blend.

I fell in love with the art of rubber stamping when I was 12 years old. I blame my grandparents. I already had every crafty hobby imaginable when they bought me a few stamps, an ink pad, and some embossing powder. I was hooked. From that point on, no special occasion has gone unmarked by one of my hand-crafted creations. Scrapbooking came next, and though it isn't my first love, it's a close second.

    Shauna – this is so cute. Love those papers – very yummy. I hope that your friends have many happy years in their new home.

    It’s the perfect house for them, so I’m sure they will.
    I think I have a paper addiction (don’t we all?), and that series is at the top of my list right now.
